2001 Carnival Results
35th Lake Burley Griffin Race Walking Carnival, 10 June 2001, Canberra
The annual Lake Burley Griffin Carnival is held each June in Canberra,the capital of Australia. This is the main event for the AFRWC and has astrong team emphasis. The carnival involves over 250 walkers of all ages.
As well as the events listed below (which are AFRWC championship events)there are ACT Championship events and events for age groups such as Under9. The carnival also includes the Australian Under 20 mens 10000m Road WalkingChampionship.
The 20 mile race is held on the Sunday morning on a tough hilly course around the lake while the other Championship events are held on the Sunday afternoon. All events are road events.

Federation Carnival, Perth, September 22, 2001
This Federation Carnival is held each year in a different State under the auspices of a different member club. It consists of a number of Federation championships. In 2001 it was held in Perth and was run by the Western Australian Race Walkers Club.
