Racewalking Australia 100 Km Championships for Men and Women
The fourth Racewalking Australia 100 km Walking Championships were held as part of the Coburg 24 Hour Carnival in Melbourne on 17-18 April 2010. Our Australian Champions for this year are Peter Bennett of Queensland and Karyn O'Neill of Victoria. Results were as follows
Australian 100 Km Walk Championships
44th Lake Burley Griffin Race Walking Carnival, 13 June 2010, Canberra
The annual Lake Burley Griffin Carnival is held each June in Canberra, the capital of Australia. This is the main event for Racewalking Australia and has a strong team emphasis. There are Racewalking Australia championship events for age groups from Under 10 through to Masters.
This year saw ovcr 300 walkers compete over a variety of distances from 1km right through to 20 Miles, with many of the entrants racing in second, or in some cases even third events. After a very cold and frosty morning, we were treated to a wonderful sunny day with a temperature approaching 16 degrees, exceptional for Canberra in mid winter. The full results follows
Racewalking Australia State Challenge
The seventh staging of this event saw all 10 of our racewalking clubs participate, with VRWC winning the Perpetual Trophy. Final results, after weightings were applied, were as follows:

RACEWALKING AUSTRALIA CARNIVAL
PARRAMATTA PARK, ST LUCIA, BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND
This carnival was successfully held in conjunction with the Australian roadwalking championships on Sunday 22 August with around 180 walkers in attendance.
